ialci strives to grow its roster of members located and practicing law from all over the world.

All law students and law practitioners (working either in-house or in private practice) or law professors can apply to become members of the international entertainment lawyers association ialci by filling up ialci’s membership form.

ialci is becoming a large and global association, with member lawyers and law students working and practising in many countries. This network fosters privileged and nurtured relationships between all members of the international entertainment lawyers association ialci, which is very useful to find some trustworthy local counsels in one’s day-to-day legal practice and management of matters.

All members of the international entertainment lawyers association ialci are involved in global projects, such as the drafting, editing and publication of ialci’s book on fashion law and luxury law; the organisation of ialci’s events; as well as the drafting of ialci’s news and the editing of ialci’s Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs).

Members are divided between two types of membership:

ialci’s membership

ialci has two types of membership, each with benefits appropriate for the relevant category of member. Full membership is open to all practising lawyers, whether employed in-house, in the industry, or working in private practice, and who dedicate their practice to the creative industries and/or entertainment sectors. Associate membership is open to students and lawyers who have still to complete the relevant training qualification in their relevant jurisdiction.

ialci believes that one of the key benefits of its membership is the opportunity to join a specialist, international forum sharing knowledge and experience of legal and business issues of interest and concern to lawyers focusing their practice on the creative and entertainment industries. Inclusion within the database of members of the international entertainment lawyers association ialci means your name will appear in a list of specialists which provides a first port of call for many when instructing lawyers specialised in the creative and entertainment sectors, in your territory.

Other benefits include free copies of the annual ialci’s book, as well as concessionary tariffs to industry events such as fashion weeks, festivals, trade shows and priority consideration for contributions to these activities.

Full ialci membership

The membership of ialci consists of practising lawyers, from various countries, each of whom receives the following benefits:

  • A free copy of the ialci book published each year. The price of the book to non-members is usually in excess of €60.
  • Variety offers ialci members a generous discount on its digital subscription to Variety (usual price: USD199, ialci members: USD169).
  • Intent Media offers ialci members generous discounts on annual subscriptions to MusicWeek (UK only print/digital: usual price £249, ialci members £200; overseas print/digital: usual price £299, ialci members: £235; digital only: usual price £179, ialci members £120).
  • Prometheus Global Media offers ialci members generous discounts on annual subscriptions to Billboard (Print, iPad & Online Access to Billboard.biz – One Year $219 (27% off the regular price); Print & iPad – One Year $199 (20% off the regular price); iPad & Online – One Year $69 (30% off the regular price)).   • Concessionary tariff for entry to several festivals and trade shows.
  • Participation to ialci’s presence, services and activities on various trade shows and professional events, such as Tranoi
  • We will also seek to continue to offer discounts to ialci members on other events.
  • Inclusion in the database of ialci members available on-line, which is a first port of call for many when instructing lawyers in your territory.
  • Priority consideration for contributions to the ialci book and for sitting on ialci panels at seminars, trade shows and other events.

The cost of annual membership is €325. If however you wish to make a joint application with one or more other members of the same firm then the cost for the second applicant is €300, for the third applicant €280, for the fourth applicant €250 and for each applicant thereafter €200.

Associate ialci membership

Associate membership is open to students and lawyers who still have to complete the relevant training qualification in their relevant jurisdiction, who wish to enjoy the following benefits:
